Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus our Lord!

Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Jesus our Lord!

Sin is a serious matter and has serious consequences!

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin is destructive but Jesus has triumphed over sin. He gave his life as a ransom for ours.

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mar 10:45)

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. (1Co 15:22-23)

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  (1Co 15:55-57)

If we reject Jesus,  we stand condemned by our sin.

Joh 3:16-18  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

When we acknowledge our sin, repent, and turn to Jesus in faith… we are saved and have peace with God.

Rom 5:1-21  Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God…  For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly…  God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life…  Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,  so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

If while enemies we were reconciled to God by Jesus’ death, how much more shall we be saved by His life?

Rom 8:31-39  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies…  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?…  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Nothing in creation can separate us from the love of God in Jesus our Lord!

1Jn 1:7-9  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.  If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The prodigal son parable gives us beautiful picture of how God responds when we turn from our sin and come home to Him.

Luk 15:17-20  “But when he came to himself… he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

Do not believe the lies of the enemy. God desires to restore us to full fellowship when we stumble!
